About the Book
Dahlia blooms are large, of unruly shape and are extremely colorful beauties of the Mexican highlands. They were the great love of Claude Monet and a prominent motif in his works of art. Next to lilies, iris and water lilies, dahlias were the great passion of this outstanding impressionist and planted by him in his vast garden in Giverny. This book is an attempt at communicating the fascination of this unique plant.

About the Creator
I am mostly working the high-end photography with sharp and unblemished shots to the extreme. On the other hand: given the chance of insinuations I am deliberately using analog and out-of-focus photography with coarse, grainy film for extreme contrast with an attempt at abstraction. The fact, that I am not always successful to this end is my ultimate challenge. In the end, it is all about telling a story.
