I had a brief squiz at Romania in 2012, at the end of an organised tour through twelve countries. A few nights in Braşov and Bucharest, just enough to whet my appetite. I loved the forests, the castles, the architecture … I wanted to come back for more. But this time on my own with a hire car. So in 2015 I did just that.
