To say we are a collection of the things we own, I justify: we ourselves choose what those things are, thus making our materialism as accurate a portrait as by any other means. However, humans define themselves in many ways—we are what we eat, we are the company we keep, we are families. Religions, nations, souls. Common labels that we as a whole are generally comfortable with. Until the day we no longer like the picture we have been painted into. Until we want to go back and start over; we yearn to undo something that has gone wrong along our way. We could all use a redo.



You can, at your whim, clear out your closet. You can toss out your books, silence your mementos. Give away the knick knacks and eBay all the rest. Burn your possessions and start from scratch, refilling your life the right way this time around.
