About the Book
The book commemorates a photography exhibition that is on display at the Bytown Museum in Ottawa, Canada from April 6 to June 28, 2009.
The exhibition is the result of two projects where Bob photographed people in neighbourhood gathering-spaces. (Unfortunately, the internet preview version doesn't show any images from Irene's Pub even though the book does include all of the exhition prints from Irene's Pub)
As illustrated in the book, the exhibition is more than the prints displayed on the wall. There are several items of installation art, an interactive display where gallery visitors can be photographed "on stage" and the exhibition is accompanied by a soundtrack.
