About the Book
On Saturday, 29th September 2007, Jo and I loaded up an Audi estate car, rented especially for the purpose, to drive from our home in Switzerland to the north east of the U.K., marry, and return. The journey – which covered a little under three weeks, over four thousand kilometres and thirteen separate overnight lodgings – took in more sights and experiences than can ever be captured in a book.
I’ve attempted to bring some of the sights we saw together into this collection of our photographs which covers our route, stopping overnight in;
Spiez, Switzerland; Reims, France; Cambridge, England; Edinburgh, Scotland; Letham, Scotland; South Queensferry, Scotland; Ambleside, England; Barmouth, Wales; Lamphey, Wales; Tenby, Wales; Milton Hill, England; Lenham, England; and Metz, France.
This was the second cross-European journey of our life together and we’re both look forward immensely to the next one.
All photos for this book were collated in May 2009 and are copyright Mark and Jo Howells-Mead, or other photographer where credited.
