    In „Istanbul - Melancholy of the Moloch“ photographer Stephan Hallmann shows a very personal view of the City of Istanbul and the Bosphorus. The place where he worked and lived for five years as a journalist and correspondent of german television.

    Journalist und Photograph. Seit 1986 aussenpolitischer Redakteur beim Zweiten Deutschen Fernsehen mit Berichten, Reportagen und Dokumentationen vor allem über den Nahen Osten, Afrika, Asien, Südamerika und die USA. Von 1991 bis 2008 Auslandskorrespondent des ZDF in Caracas, Mexico City, Washington und Istanbul. Seit 2008 wieder in Deutschland. Von dort aus in jüngster Zeit Reisen nach Haiti, Kuba, Chile, Ghana, Pakistan, Indien, China, die Türkei, Syrien, Iran, Irak, Ägypten, Libyen, den Libanon, Israel/Palästina, Italien, Griechenland, Ungarn, Singapur - und sich zunehmend seiner alten Leidenschaft widmend: der Photographie und dem einzelnen Bild.
