This village is located in the centre of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. Fornalutx has received different prizes and recognition because of its beauty and enviable state of conservation. One of the most outstanding buildings is the current Town Hall or “Casa de la Vila”. The village centre is Plaça d'Espanya. Many visitors come to walk along Fornalutx narrow streets admiring the traditional beauty and architecture. Nearly all stone streets are stepped streets in Fornalutx. The old stone streets are adorned with many pots and beautiful plants. The dominant plants of the area are orange trees, lemon trees and cacti.
