Since I'm a 'McDaniel', you may ask, "Why an I so interested in Barr history and genealogy". Well, I just love the study of history, and genealogy. The two seem to be right there together. Oh, there may be one other reason, I am married to a 'Barr'. The "Barr" family has been has been a part of Pike County, thus Mississippi history since its beginning. My father-in-law, V.W. Barr, Jr. was a special person, and truly a great friend. We began this project together about sometimes in the 1980's. It literally took this long to compile and complete what I have. Yet, its not at all complete. My failing health, along with the loss of computer skills and ability to stay focused has forced me into publishing what I have while I can still enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. Since I attempted to edit the material myself, there are errors. If you find one, just look over it. I know, I did few times myself.
