In the spring of 2017 I had the privilege to spend 3-weeks at the Ravenna Mosaic Art School under the teaching of Luciana Notturni, one of the few masters allowed to restore Roman-Byzantine mosaic masterpieces. The book is a detailed account of the methods used to create a Portrait and Carpet-Floor Mosaic. In addition it show cases all the mosaics of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Ravenna.
