About the Book
Anne Sherwood Pundyk pairs two open pages from her handwritten journal; the left side showing her reckoning of the day and the right side a corresponding hex-like symbol based on the geometric navigations in her paintings. After digitally scanning these pages she begins an iterative series of manipulations—printing, photographing and rescanning the images—incorporating inkjet glitches and Photoshop distortions. The works present the high-keyed color palette from her paintings, absorbed into toner droplets, woven threads, cast shadows and refracted light suggesting the quixotic role of time as an aspect of self-reflection.
