About the Book
Join Tom & Laurie as we once again head to France's Languedoc region, returning to Uzès, a medieval village on Languedoc's eastern border with its more famous neighbor, Provence.
As usual, we will visit many of the area's cultural and historical sites, continue to appreciate the unlimited number of local wines - particularly rosé - available at more than reasonable prices, and even take in three Courses Camarguaises, matching a frustrated but very much alive bull against two teams of raseteurs. These white-clad groups compete to remove rosettes and other ribbons attached to the bull's horns without having those same horns catch any exposed body parts. Sneak in, snatch, run like hell, and jump over the arena's wooden enclosure (and just to be safe, climb up the higher cement wall protecting the spectators).
