About the Book
David had the honor of spending three days in Santa Fe with some fellow LHSA members (the International Leica Society), where he enjoyed learning from some great local photographers that had created some very compelling work to protect and document parts of Arizona that were often mis-understood, and also some inaccessible areas of the world that they managed to make accessible. He also got to work with some photographers from other areas of the country, including New Orleans, and see their projects and insights. Over the three day period David went on various assignments walking around the historic area of Santa Fe and then developing some of his own assignments. This collection represents David's work over that three day period looking for colors, shapes, shadows and more challenging, a look into the life of people that live and work in a tourist town. The history of Santa Fe is long and varied, but one component is consistent throughout - the creative talent. Many have spent lifetimes in and around this area and now I know why. All photos were taken, of course, with a Leica. And the proceeds of this book will go to benefit various non-profit organizations supported by Mission Photography, Inc, including a non-profit incubator in Rock Hill, South Carolina and mission work in Bayonnais, Haiti. The value of the work received is $80 and all amounts paid over that value are a charitable contribution deductible for income taxes according to the Internal Revenue Code of the United States of America. Other countries may have differing tax laws.
