About the Book
Bryan J. Mangam is best known for being ‘Snarky When Wet’ and we can see how accurate that really is as we enter his salty world. These pages are filled with adapted thoughts saved and re-discovered from the deepest archives of his Twitter account. Mangam walks us through satirical storylines that comment on and question various facets of American culture in this collection of perfectly executed tweets, originally written between 2012 and 2018.
As the reader, we are welcomed to explore the depths of the seemingly simplistic humor. Continuing to search between the lines and connecting re-occurring themes, we will come to find a hidden understanding of Mangam’s mind. What he created is a brilliantly constructed roadmap of original characters and scenarios, juxtaposed with the use of stock photos and bright pastel colors for an often ironic effect. He uses black comedy to not only break the fourth wall around us, but also to break down the wall within ourselves. Mangam exploits our secret thoughts. He says what we always wanted to say and without any hesitation. Through this comedic journey, you will find yourself laughing with relief: Finally, somebody said it!
