Liza Raynal has been an educator for more than 10 years, first as a teacher and currently as Middle School Head at an independent Pre K-12 school. Liza has written and performed two one-woman shows, "CardioGram" and "American Joe." The latter, about her brother joining the army and deploying to Afghanistan, ran for eight-weeks at The Marsh Theater in San Francisco. Now, she mostly writes about education. "Lulu's Volcano" is her first children's book. A graduate of Brown University, Liza lives in the Bay Area with her husband. When she's not writing or working with middle schoolers, you'll find her figuring out how to take her next travel adventure.
