About the Book
This book is a magazine version of the two handmade, hardcover volumes I made as a part of my undergraduate thesis in environmental humanities. Those volumes were companion to the written portion of the thesis—Learning to See: A Material-Ontological Critique of Photography—and served as both reference to and example of the ideas discussed and proposed in my text. This magazine is an effort to make that reference and the images within more accessible to any reader or viewer. It contains sixty-two photographs and roughly six pages of text.
