The trail that leads to the sea, passes through hollows, tangled with foliage that overwhelms with colors so new, so fresh in their first earthly appearance. Their footsteps on the well worn path, slow and rhythmic, augment the silences between their spoken thoughts. The night before, he dreamed of a large, multi-paneled painting different from his normal work but obviously by his hand. One panel, the largest of the six panels, horizontal in format, a turgid muddied red from which several unknown faces begin to appear from below the surface. The other panels abstract references to realized but impossible desires.
