About
I have always lived near water: lakes, rivers and oceans. When the opportunity to live on an island presented itself, I was delighted. Thus began my island life. My educational background is in biology and art history. My present interests are art and nature journaling. I have previously co-authored a book on Northwest Native-style art. I live on Lopez Island, WA where i have been involved in volunteer programs from mentorship and bird counts to recording plankton samples and stomach contents of salmon. My watercolor art pieces are found from Dubai to Issaquah, Washington.
This book is a compilation and condensation of an illustrated journal I kept during my first ten years on the island. My small house is perched on a craggy rock outcropping a few feet from the waters of the Salish Sea.
