About

After receiving my Masters of Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia, I moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan, where I teach literature and writing in the Lee Honors College at Western Michigan University. My work has appeared in Carousel, The Means, The Allegheny Review, Sycamore Review and The New York Inquirer, among others, and a chapbook of my poetry was published by the University of Arkansas Press. I am a recipient of the CBC Television Jim Burt Prize in Creative Writing, the Hopwood Award for Poetry and the Virginia Voss Writing Award. Other than writing, I enjoy travelling, chapstick, electronica, the color orange, cheese, cooking, patterns and good science fiction.
