Michael Huey (b. 1964) is an American artist based in Vienna, Austria. He has written extensively on his own family in "Straight as the Pine, Sturdy as the Oak"; "Dearie - The Louis Betts Portrait of Harriet King Huey"; and "The Place of Beginning". Artist books from his shows include: "Betsy and I Killed the Bear" (2007); "ASH, inc." (2009); "China Cupboard/Houseguests" (2011); "Archivaria" (2012); and the pamphlet "Proof" (2015) from the Austrian Frederick + Lillian Kiesler Foundation. Huey has also published on the decorative arts in "Viennese Silver: Modern Design 1780-1918", which he edited, and in "Josef Hoffmann - Interiors 1902-1913", for which he wrote the essay "Art Itself - The Private Lives of Josef Hoffmann". He is a longtime and regular contributor to The World of Interiors.
