About the Ebook
Bodie is a gold and silver mining ghost town located in the Eastern Sierra northeast of Mono lake. It became a boom town in the late 1870's and boasted a population of over 7000 residents and 2000 buildings. The boom was short lived and Bodie began to decline in 1882. After many years of reduced mining activities, Bodie became a California State Historic Park in 1962. Today with less than 10% of the town remaining, it is still the largest ghost town in the Western United States. Photographers are not strangers to Bodie; the Great Mono Lake Basin Landscape, textured wood and artifacts provide a wealth of subject matter.
